Sunflower honey

Beneficial properties: Has a beneficial effect on cardiovascular system, regulates arterial pressure, regulates the function of venous circulation, strengthens cardiac muscles and vascular walls. This golden honey immediately after pumping out, during crystallization, changes color to light amber, sometimes with a barely noticeable greenish tint. Its taste is dominated by a pleasant fruity sweetness with a slight sourness. The barely noticeable smell of this honey after crystallization almost completely disappears, and a whitish bloom forms on the surface, due to the high content of glucose.

Sunflower honey is truly monofloral. The presence of nectar and pollen from other plants in it is possible only in small quantities, which can be neglected.

Someone will say that this variety is simple and uncomplicated in comparison with others, but perhaps this particular feature will appeal to those who prefer not too intense tastes and not too intense aromas.

As for the content of biologically active substances in its composition, in this parameter sunflower honey is in no way inferior to its brighter counterparts. The high content of easily digestible carbohydrates in it makes it an excellent assistant for physical and intellectual overload, stress, sleep disorders. After all, it just tastes good. It requires great efforts and knowledge. Each bee keeper finds themselves facing a choice which methods to use – those making it possible to harvest maximum honey of a lower quality with minimum efforts or those that will allow to collect honey of a perfect quality in spite of using more labor-intensive processes. We only work with bee keepers, who, when making a choice, listen to the voice of conscience.

Honey harvest

Our bee keepers harvest honey at pure fields and meadows that were never exposed to chemical treatment, nor affected by loud motor roads and industrial plants. For prophylaxis and treatment of bees’ illnesses they use only natural technologies that are safe for the health of insects and for the environment. As a result, you get honey without traces of antibiotics, metabolites, nitrofurans and other unacceptable components.

Our honey is not thermally processed. This means that in the process of production, the honey is heated till the hive temperature of 38°C. This minimal processing technology does not destruct amino acids and ferments in our honey, which allows our honey to have:

Higher percentage of nutrients
Keeps natural honey ferments that help the digestion
Retains amino acids that have a positive effect on our body in general
Natural crystallization that the thermally processed honey cannot have
